Our Story

How It All Began

The Gamma Upsilon Chapter was first established by 29 Babson students on April 21st, 1951. On April 18, 2012, the Delta Beta Delta Colony was formed in aim to reactivate the Chapter.  Within 8 months, the Delta Sigma Pi Board of Directors approved the reactivation of Gamma Upsilon Chapter! April 6th, 2013 marks the official date of the Chapter installation by 46 aspiring young professionals.

5 Years. 10 Recruitments.

With each semester, brilliant and dynamic individuals join our brotherhood and continually shape who we are.

Keeping It Professional

Our brotherhood is dedicated to investing in not only our own professional development, but also the entire Babson community. Some of our programs include: campus-wide speaker events, internship and career panelsnetworking conferences, and companies-visit and self-development journeys nationally and internationally. On a regular basis, our brothers offer resume workshops and one-on-one meetings for those who need professional help. See below for more professional programming examples.

Professional Journeys

With the Chapter’s sponsorship, our brothers had the chance to visit marketing and finance firms in New York City, and awesome start-ups and successful companies in San Francisco, as well as partake in the Startup Island Program in Costa Rica. With each destination, DSP alumni gave them exclusive access to companies such as Facebook, Google, and more.

Speaker Event - David Allen

In the past, we have invited David Allen, who handled Nelson Mandela’s security and served 16 years in SWAT Hostage Negotiation Unit, to talk about leadership, respect, and negotiation skills.

The Circle of Giving Back

A core value of Delta Sigma Pi is to give back to the community that has helped foster our brotherhood, and to pay it forward. Our traditions of service include partnering with the Sustainability Office to plant trees around campus, volunteering at Cradles to Crayons, and spending time at Save A Dog. Through acts of service, we are reminded that by cultivating a healthy community and helping out those in need, the world transforms into a better place.

We Have Fun, Always

It’s easy to get lost while worrying about grades, internships, and other commitments. That’s why we try our best to always incorporate fun and stress-relief activities into our collegiate lives. Here are some moments we shared at social events such as Formal and weekend retreats, or simply wherever we are together.
